The B.C. Health Branch initiates a study of congenital rubella syndrome (CRS), to determine the number of newborns affected by the 1970-1971 rubella epidemic; the project requires the cooperation of all B.C. physicians, who will collect blood specimens to test for rubella susceptibility in newborns [“Study of Congenital Rubella in B.C.,” B.C.
