The DH announces a “reciprocal reporting mechanism” to help track vaccination coverage in the province. Doctors are provided with free live vaccines (including MMR and Rubella) and in return are expected to notify the department of vaccination information. The aim is to establish a registry of immunization status for all children in the province, although uptake among doctors in the program is slow [PANS, RG 25, Vol. 680, no. 10].
